Health & Studio Guidelines

At Norm Studio, we aim to maintain a calm, respectful, and safe environment for every student.

By attending class, you agree to take responsibility for your own wellbeing, to practise with awareness, and to respect the shared studio space.

Personal Responsibility

Students are encouraged to practise within their own physical limits and to use personal judgment throughout class.

If any movement causes pain, dizziness, discomfort, or concern, the student should stop and inform the teacher.

Health Disclosure

Students should inform the teacher or studio before class of any relevant condition that may affect participation, including:

  • injury
  • illness
  • physical limitation
  • pain or discomfort
  • pregnancy
  • any other health-related concern

Students may also be required to complete the studio’s Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk form before attending class.

Pregnancy

Students who are pregnant are encouraged to inform the studio before booking and to notify the teacher before class so that suitability may be considered.

Beginners

Beginners are welcome at Norm Studio. However, the teacher may recommend a more suitable class depending on the student’s experience, condition, or needs.

Instructor Discretion

Norm Studio instructors may modify, limit, refuse, or stop a student’s participation at any time if there is concern about safety, risk of injury, disruption, or harm to the student or others.

Arrival Time

Students are encouraged to arrive 5 to 10 minutes before class to settle in comfortably before the session begins.

Late Entry

Late entry is permitted up to 15 minutes after the class start time.

After that, entry may be declined to minimise disruption and to preserve a safe practice environment.

Mats and Equipment

Students are encouraged to bring their own yoga mat.

A mat may be provided by the studio if needed, subject to availability.

Phones and Studio Atmosphere

To preserve a calm and focused experience for all, phones should be kept on silent mode throughout class.

Clothing and Hygiene

Students should wear comfortable attire suitable for movement and maintain good personal hygiene when attending class.

Photography and Filming

Photography and filming are allowed, but students must not photograph, record, or capture other participants without their explicit consent.

We ask all students to be respectful of the privacy and comfort of others in the studio.

Conduct

All participants are expected to behave respectfully toward instructors, staff, and fellow students.

Disruptive, unsafe, aggressive, inappropriate, or disrespectful behaviour will not be accepted.

Refusal of Entry or Removal

Norm Studio reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any participant whose behaviour, condition, or conduct may create risk, disruption, discomfort, or harm to any person or to the studio environment.
